ALEX SHELDON, FOUNDER, HONG KONG
Years experience: 15 +

She really loves the process and enjoys introducing new ideas to her clients and creating concepts that really work for them. “Working within this team is fantastic and great fun, they bring energy and inspiring ideas to each project. It’s great to talk ideas through with them and get a different perspective”.
Hobbies: Running on the trails.
Samantha Scott Thomas, London, England
Years Experience: 10 +
Background: Over the years, Sam has worked in many different creative environments, originally a dressmaker and curtain maker, she then moved on to organising exhibitions; setting up and working on the look of various shows at the NEC in Birmingham and Earl’s Court Olympia in London. She then moved into interior Design, where her passion was truly ignited. “I love working in interior design, I have found my niche, and to be working with Alex is the icing on the cake. I get an enormous amount of satisfaction from seeing the finished article and love the fact that I have met and continue to meet so many different people.” Sam has also completed a home styling course and is now a Certified Home Staging and Property Styling Professional.
On a personal note: Sam and Alex met each other over thirty years ago and have remained firm friends ever since.
Rachel Webster, England
Years experience: 12 +
Background: Rachel’s first career was in the city working as a broker with several American banks. This client-facing role developed her skills in negotiation, attention to detail and diplomacy. She then spent another 12 years working for a property search agency. Here, search and advice on the purchase of residential property in London meant honing the skills learnt in the city and she quickly developed a love of property and interiors.
It is this love that lead Rachel to The Home Stylist, where the ideas and inspiration from viewing thousands of London properties – and knowing what works and what doesn’t – helps her clients achieve the home they desire.

She returned to Hong Kong in 2013, with a husband and small dog, and has continued to focus on her love of interiors both personally and professionally ever since. Anna McConnochie, Outdoor stylist, Hong Kong
Years experience: 10+
Background: The Home Stylist’s resident outdoor stylist. Anna hails from Australia, but she fell in love with garden design when she moved with her husband to London in 2002. Transfixed by the stunning English gardens surrounding her in Surrey, she undertook a garden design course at the Pickard School of Garden Design at the Garden History Museum in London.
Anna went on to open and run her own Garden Design, Planting and Project Management company until the family were relocated to Hong Kong a few years later. Child rearing ensued, and Anna’s love of nature got her out onto the incredible trails of Hong Kong which also cultivated her love of running, keeping her in touch with the outdoors and teaching her a lot about the local plants. After moving to the New Territories, Anna redesigned her own garden space, and has been helping friends and clients with their outdoor spaces ever since.
Something you didn’t know: Anna was once crowned “National Swimming Champion” for her age group (8) but living in Kenya meant there weren’t many competitors!
