The Home Stylist celebrates 5 years this November, something we hadn’t even contemplated reaching back when this all started. One thing that has always been very clear to us is our purpose:
To give clients a completely bespoke service tailored to their needs.
The Home Stylist Purpose
With every single client, from those first few homes to the huge corporate projects we run today, we have always strived to provide:
- A friendly and
personalised service. - A genuine and warm relationship with the client.
- Help towards the creation of a beautiful home.
- Value for money in an industry often only seen a luxury.
To achieve this, our team focus has been:
- To ensure mutual respect amongst all staff.
- To be passionate and experts in our fields.
- To create an environment that fosters professional growth and provides emotional support.
The most important thing for The Home Stylist has always been to work together to achieve the above.
“Alex was simply amazing in the renovation of my house… made the whole process enjoyable, saved me money and introduced me to new ideas and shops!”
5 Years of Styling Trends and the Styling Basics that Never End
On our 5 year journey, we have come across some fascinating, funny and intriguing clients, homes and trends.
We certainly wouldn’t have been talking about floral wallpaper 5 years ago, unless it was in your washroom where we were daring to be bold. We did, however, talk a lot about texture and how it adds depth and warmth to a home, this is still very much the case.
We’ve gone from deep, jewel colours to soft pinks and burnt orange. From an obsession with all things Danish to the return of Art Deco.
For us though, it’s not about the trends. It’s about creating a home that is stylish and functional, whatever that may mean to an individual client.
“We wake up every day, look around the place and smile, knowing that we are truly ‘at home.’ And a lot of that feeling we know that we owe to Rosie and The Home Stylist.”
One thing we love about our work is going into peoples’ homes and working with what they already have. This means we can keep the trends of 5 years ago and mix them up with today’s new trends… why not?!
Three things that we continually talk about that haven’t changed is the importance of lighting, hanging your art correctly and of course, the right sized rug for your space!
The Home Stylist Growth
The Home Stylist has grown from just a
From working solely with independent clients and their homes, we now have a corporate business offering property and tenant solutions to corporates, landlords and agents. This also incorporates a great events programme which covers both the residential and corporate sides the business and is run by a fabulous business development and marketing guru, Chen, alongside a project manager and interior architect.
“Alex and her team of professionals transform any living space.
Of course, we couldn’t have done this without the incredible support and belief of our clients, some of whom have gone on to become great friends.
From all of us at The Home Stylist, Thank you.
